“When is your due date?” I asked. I was 35 weeks and about to pop any day. Carolyne was around 28 weeks when she messaged me saying she was interested in an in home newborn shoot. I told her my situation and that I couldn’t quite commit to the session just in case recovery was rough. See, when you have a baby in the middle of slow season, you don’t photograph much at all. I knew, Lord willing, that if recovery went well I’d be dying to photograph this session. I’m so thankful she totally understood and wanted to book me anyway!
I was feeling great once Luke came into the world. With our schedules we had to schedule it within just a day or two notice. So she was a little worried about cleaning her whole house. All ya’ll mommas can rejoice because all she needed to pick up was the nursery and her master bedroom. And we actually ended up primarily shooting in the guest room. Scroll down to see some behind the scenes shots including a Baby Joy appearance.
Also, what you don’t see…
-Both our babies had to eat the same time
-Both our babies having blowouts at the same time
