Sara + Andrew’s Wild and Free Mountain Wedding – Amber Lowe Photo – Knoxville Wedding Photographer
It’s not often you meet someone with such a free spirit and sense of adventure as Sara and Andrew. Sara’s sister, Megan, is also a client of mine and I love that I get to celebrate both their families!
Sara and Andrew met in Colorado, and they love hiking and the outdoors. So it just makes sense that they chose a wedding venue near the gorgeous Smoky Mountains to pay tribute to their love of adventure! Their ceremony was at Shannondale church. They waited until the ceremony to see each other for the first time and it was more than worth it. Sara, however, opted for a first look with her bridesmaids, which was an adorable jaw-dropping moment!
Estate of Grace was the perfect outdoor backdrop for Sara and Andrew’s reception, which was chock full of joy and laughter. Their reception decor was simple, rustic, and casual with blue mason jars and pops of golden yellow wildflowers. They incorporated their love of travel and adventure with maps and DIY road signs referencing the places important to them.
Even though the steamy July day brought storms and heat, nothing could steal away Sara and Andrew’s joy. We were even able to use that rain to get some gorgeous shots of the happy couple in front of the foggy mountains. The weather cleared up just in time for the newlyweds to dance barefoot in the grass with their friends and family, and head off into their new life together with a sparkler sendoff.
